First congress of World Armenian Organization started in Moscow

The first congress of the World Armenian Organization started in Moscow on Monday.

President of Russia Vladimir Putin and President of Armenia Robert Kocharian attended the congress. Outstanding political and public figures of Russia, Armenia and other countries of the world where members of the Armenian Diaspora live are among the guests of the congress.

The initiative on the World Armenian Organization creation belongs to the Union of Armenians in Russia representing the largest Armenian Diaspora in the world, which numbers 2.5 million people.
