UN office is closing in Sukhumi

"The closure of the UNHCR office in Sukhumi is caused by financial difficulties," said head of the UNHCR Field Office in Georgia Catherine Bertrand.

At the same time, the closure of the Sukhumi office does not mean reducing UNHCR activity in the zone of the Georgian-Abkhazian conflict. The UNHCR Gali office will keep on working.
