Large art exhibition in Sukhum

The combined exhibition "Southern Transit" of the Abkhazian Union of Painters, Krasnodar Regional Organization and Sochi Branch of the Russian Union of Painters has opened in Sukhum for the first time in 10 years. The exposition at the exhibition hall of the Abkhazian Union of Painters presents 60 works by 20 authors.

Deputy Chairman of the Russian Union of Painters Yuri Zhulev, Chairman of the Sochi City Union of Painters Yuri Prokatov, Abkhazian officials and public were at the official opening of the exhibition on November 8.

Abkhazian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergey Shamba called the exhibition opening "an outstanding event, which clearly showed the aspiration of the Abkhazian people to unity and mutual enrichment." "We are glad that all contacts lost as a result of the war have been reestablished," said Sergey Shamba.
