Khadyzhensk

In Apsheron rayon (sector) of Krasnodar kray (region), 113 km south-east of Krasnodar. Located on foothills of the Greater Caucasus, in a forest tract, on the Pshish River, 6 km from the railway station of Khadyzhenskaya in the Tuapse - Armavir line. Motor road junction. Population (1992 est.) 19.1 thousand, (1939 est.) 8.5 thousand, (1959 est.) 17.6 thousand, (1979 est.) 20.2 thousand.

Town since 1949. Present Khadyzhensk has a machine works, an integrated forest mill. It also has a balneal resort.
