Abkhazian Defense Minister: republic controls its territorial waters itself and will counteract any trespasses

Abkhazian Minister of Defense Vyacheslav Eshba commented on the statement by chief of the Georgian coastguard service David Gulua that his department was going to impose a blockade on the Abkhazian area of water. The minister said such statements have been heard for 10 years.

"We have enough forces and resources to guard our area of water and not to let trespassers and smugglers in there," said Eshba in his interview with the Caucasian Knot correspondent.
