Relatives of Ramazan Djalaldinov announce his disappearance

Ramazan Djalaldinov, a resident of the Chechen village of Kenkhi, who was persecuted for having complained to Vladimir Putin about the difficult situation in his village, has disappeared, as reported by his relatives and fellow villagers. The date of his disappearance varies, while the police did not confirm this information.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that villagers had publicly renounced Djalaldinov; and a large-scale campaign to discredit him was launched. His house in Kenkhi was burned down. On May 30, Djalaldinov apologized to Ramzan Kadyrov.

After the Djalaldinov's complaint, the leadership of the Sharoi District of Chechnya, where Kenkhi is located, was changed; and a large-scale reconstruction was launched.

On November 3, Djalaldinov and his son, who was registered by the police, tried to leave the Chechen Republic, but were detained, said his relatives. According to their version, policemen questioned the men, took away their passports and mobile phones, and then released them.

On the following day, Djalaldinov disappeared, his family reported. Kenkhi villagers say that their phones are tapped; therefore, they fear to give details on the situation in the village, the "Dozhd" TV Channel reports.

The portal "Kavkaz.Realii" (Realities of the Caucasus) reports, with reference to the villagers, that Djalaldinov disappeared not on November 4, but on November 6, after leaving his house.
