In Kabardino-Balkaria, three persons killed in a shootout with law enforcers

In the Maisky District of Kabardino-Balkaria, law enforcers killed three persons who opened fire while there was an attempt to stop their car. According to the FSB, religious extremists were killed, and another attacker was detained.

FSB officers wanted to stop the car to check the documents. None of the law enforcers was wounded as a result of the shootout, reported the Investigating Committee of the Russian Federation (ICRF).

"The activities of an extremist religious unit which planned the killing of law enforcers and major entrepreneurs in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic (KBR) were stopped," reported FSB as quoted by the "Interfax".

According to the FSB, three attackers were killed at the place by return fire from law enforcers and one attacker was detained.
