Alkhas Kvitsiniya challenges in court outcome of presidential election in Abkhazia

The Supreme Court of Abkhazia has received a statement of claim lodged by Alkhas Kvitsiniya, in which the opposition politician asks to illegitimate the decision of the Central Election Commission (CEC), which had declared the victory of Raul Khadjimba at the presidential election.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that after the preliminary voting outcomes were announced on September 8, according to which Raul Khadjimba had won the presidential election in Abkhazia.

On September 11, the Alkhas Kvitsiniya's electoral office submitted a lawsuit to the Supreme Court of Abkhazia asking to invalidate the CEC's decisions on the outcomes of the presidential election, the "Sputnik-Abkhazia" gas reported referring to the office.

The Supreme Court of Abkhazia has reported that it had registered the Alkhas Kvitsiniya's lawsuit. According to the court representative, the date of the session will be fixed later, the RIA "Novosti" reports.
