COVID-19 restrictions in force in Georgia

From November 28 to January 31, 2021, mass events are prohibited in Georgia; catering facilities have been transferred to a remote operation mode; and the movement of public transport and pedestrians is limited.

The "Caucasian Knot" has reported that by the end of November, Georgia came out on top in the world in terms of the spread of COVID-19 rate per 100,000 of population.

The restrictions announced by the Georgian authorities will be in force until January 31, 2021. The movement of pedestrians and vehicles is prohibited from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., except for the New Years Eve – December 31 – and the Christmas Eve – January 6. Intercity passenger transportation by minibuses, buses and by railway is prohibited, the "Sputnik Georgia" has reported today with reference to the country's Ministry of Public Health.

Restaurants and catering facilities have switched over to a remote working format; the work of fitness gyms and swimming pools is suspended. Mass events are prohibited. It is prescribed to hold conferences, trainings, cultural and entertainment events in the online mode, the "Sputnik Georgia" reports.
