Six Armenian soldiers return home from Azerbaijan controlled territories

Six Armenian soldiers who had fought in Nagorno-Karabakh and stayed in the territories that came under Azerbaijan's control after the end of hostilities have returned home. Araik Arutyunyan, President of Nagorno-Karabakh, has made a respective statement.

"As a result of search operations conducted in the territories that came under the enemy's control, through the efforts of the State Emergency Service (SES) of the Republic of Artsakh (the self-name of Nagorno-Karabakh, – note of the "Caucasian Knot"), the Russian contingent in charge of the peacemaking mission, and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC), six regular soldiers, who had fought heroically in obscurity for more than 70 days, have returned to their homeland," Mr Arutyunyan wrote in his Facebook page on December 20, adding the surnames of the "rescued compatriots."

Let us remind you that the authorities of Nagorno-Karabakh declared December 19-21 to be the mourning days for those who perished during the hostilities.
