Rostov schoolboy arrested on charges of ties to Ukrainian intelligence
The teenager was assembling an explosive device in his apartment on the instructions of Ukrainian special services, law enforcers assert.
The detention of the 15-year-old schoolboy in Rostov-on-Don was reported by sources connected to law enforcement bodies, but they haven’t released any official statements about this.
According to law enforcers, the schoolboy, who lived in an apartment in Zorge Street in Rostov-on-Don, was assembling an explosive device at home. Investigators believe that he was recruited by Ukrainian special services and was preparing a bomb on their instructions, the “Baza” Telegram channel reported on April 30.
During a search of the schoolboy's apartment, "law enforcers seized explosives, a glass jar, and striking elements," the “Don Mash” Telegram channel has added.
The minor was placed under arrest on April 22. Law enforcers believe that he "made explosives from the reagents he had." It is not specified where he had acquired the components for the explosives and how he planned to use the homemade bomb.
When stating the schoolboy's links with Ukrainian intelligence, the sources referred to some correspondence, also without providing any details. There is also no information yet on what articles the arrested young man is charged under.
