Chechen-Aul village chief was killed in Chechnya

The chief of the village administration in Chechen-Aul in the Grozny rural district of Chechnya was killed early Tuesday morning.

"A group of gunmen wearing masks and camouflage burst into the house of Saipudi Tsitsyaev, shot him dead and fled," spokesman for the Chechen Interior Ministry Ruslan Atsayev reported on Tuesday.

He said a team of detectives and investigators from the ministry was working at the crime scene.
