Claims of victims of terrorist act on Dubrovka will be considered by European Court of Human Rights

The European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg will consider the complaints of 24 victims of the terrorist act on Dubrovka, whose claims for moral damage compensation were nonsuited by the Russian court.

As the victims' lawyer Igor Trunov announced, the European Court can ask the plaintiffs to attend court sittings personally. On September 9 the Tverskoy Court of Moscow nonsuited four more claims of former hostages and relatives of those who were killed during the storm of the Theatre Center on Dubrovka.

According to official data, 129 people died and more than 700 suffered as a result of the act of terrorism in October 2002.
